FundedNext Trading Journal: Track Stellar Challenge Rules and Drawdown

Rules summarized from FundedNext's published challenge rules as of November 2026. FundedNext updates its models frequently, so confirm current rules on its website. Clarity Tracking is not affiliated with FundedNext.

FundedNext offers several challenge models with very different risk limits. Choosing the right one, and tracking it properly, matters more than the discount you pay at checkout.

Stellar 2-Step8%, then 5%5%10%
Stellar 1-Step10%3%6%
Stellar Lite8%, then 4%4%8%
Stellar InstantNoneNone6% trailing

On the challenge models, the daily and maximum loss limits are measured against your initial balance.

FundedNext Futures

FundedNext's futures challenges use an end-of-day trailing drawdown and run on platforms including Tradovate and NinjaTrader. Several futures models have no daily loss limit, but some apply a consistency rule. Clarity Tracking syncs Tradovate and NinjaTrader accounts and shows your trailing drawdown on every trading day.

What to track in your FundedNext journal

  • Daily loss used vs. your model's limit
  • Distance to the maximum loss floor (or trailing level on Instant and Futures)
  • Progress toward each phase's profit target
  • Your largest winning day as a share of total profit, if a consistency rule applies
  • Setup, session and rule compliance for every trade

Choosing a model with your journal data

Look at your worst trading day over the last 50 to 100 trades. If it lost more than 3% of the account, the 1-Step's 3% daily limit is a poor fit and the 2-Step is safer. If your results are steady but your average win is small, the lower targets on Stellar Lite may suit you better. The expectancy calculator and risk of ruin calculator help you test this.

How to journal a FundedNext account with Clarity Tracking

  1. Connect your account through a supported platform such as MT5, MT4, cTrader or Match Trader for CFDs, depending on what FundedNext offers you.
  2. Enter your model's limits so the dashboard shows remaining room.
  3. Tag setups and review the calendar daily.

FAQ

Which FundedNext challenge is easiest to pass?

It depends on your trading. Traders with larger daily swings usually do better on the 2-Step's 5%/10% limits; steady traders may prefer the single phase of the 1-Step.
